I am a graduate  of  Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in 1984, while completing my residency in anesthesia at Mt. Sinai Hospital in

New York City, I developed an interest in in the treatment of chronic pain. I did a fellowship in pain management at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 1987.  I have lectured extensively on nerve blocks for pain management, neuropathic pain and the role of long acting narcotics for treatment of chronic pain.

My interest in the mechanisms of chronic pain and the use of molecular imaging for the diagnosis and and treatment of these conditions.  Ultra sound imaging is used by me in our offices to locate the joints, nerves and muscles for injections.

I have attended numerous workshops on the topic of interventional pain management.  I preformed a wide variety of pain management procedures in Trinitas Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ. and at Ironbound Endo-Surgical Center in Newark, NJ.

My practices are dedicated to the treatment of chronic painful conditions.  Chronic pain is defined as pain that persistbeyond the initial period or healing that is associated with tissue injury.  Injury to the central and peripheral nervous systems may also cause the propagation of (chronic) pain as well as cancer, and its treatments.  The primary goal of the Center for Pain Relief, LLC is to restore function an quality of life to patients with chronic pain syndromes, while attempting to relieve pain as well as teaching coping mechanisms for pain, and forming reasonable expectations with patients and family members for dealing with chronic pain.   Various modalities are used to relieve pain including, interventional  pain management, nerve blocks, joint injections, medical/pharmacologic management, psychological intervention, acupuncture, and physical therapy.
