Epiduroscopy is an advanced technique in which a small scope is placed into the epidural space via the sacral canal in order to actually see the nerve roots or any scar tissue associated with the nerve roots. This procedure is infrequently performed due to poor optics of the available equipment, but may be used more in the future with further development.
